Some facts can be learned in an instant: the sum of two plus two, what the capital of Ecuador is, or how many elements are on the periodic table.
Other facts are learned (at least in part) over and over again, solidified in our hearts and minds as we go through life: how refreshing our Christian hope is, how deep the love of Christ is, how rich our inheritance is, and on and on and on.
"I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe." - Ephesians 1:17, 18
Lord Jesus, we may never fully grasp the depth of breadth of your blessings to us on this side of heaven. Nevertheless, let each day be one of learning your love, appreciating your blessings, and marveling at how much of your goodness we have yet to learn. Amen.
